ATA
History
The
ATA is an established nonprofit research entity, which is registered with the
IRS as a SEC. 501(c) to collect and sponsor research on tax policy and administration
matters that are of interest to the ATA. This nonprofit entity was established
in August 2000 and began its operations in 2001. It has initially decided to
focus its research and publication efforts on the issue of taxation of Internet
transactions. It will collect in one location identifiable research, publications,
and articles on the subject of taxation on the Internet for use by ATA members,
the academic community, public officials, media writers, and interested parties.
